Christmas is coming!!

We have now entered our second year and the weeks are flying by and we all hate to admit it but Christmas is fast approaching.

We have had an interesting couple of weeks, with the wonderful Esther starting as my receptionist and helping out with my very messy and most of the time unorganised diary she has become invaluable already. – So Thank you to her.

This month as you all know we are donating 10% of our profit to 2 Wish Upon A Star, and I would please encourage you to come and purchase your gift sets and gift vouchers to help us support them.

To all of you planning to treat yourself to a treatment before Christmas please consider booking in advance to ensure you have an appointment to suit you, and not be disapointed.

We will be running 2 late evenings up to 9pm through Decmeber to ensure all our valued clients are able to visit us.

If you still haven’t visited us and are interested in just collecting information please pop up the stairs, it would be lovely to meet you.

** Important** We are now launching home product parties with FREE Mini MDA available to all who come. We will share more information shortly but if your interested in hosting one of these parties please contact us on 01443 223352 and speak to Andrea.

So lastly our important product review: With these beautiful crisp winter mornings it is perfect time to find what wonderful products are availbale to make your skin enjoy this weather as much as you. For your dry, cracked or just weather beaten skin I would recommend the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisturiser. This uber-rich, skin-quenching and comforting cream delivers  maximum moisture. It is a non-greasy, velvety formula which locks in moisture for 8hrs, and not only hydrating but offering a smoother, firmer and more youthful complexion. I found this wonderful to apply overnight for a fresher, softer appearence in the mornings, this was also very healing for chapped areas. For me was a little to heavy for my skin type by day but a very luxurious night cream. Would definately recommend.

My second best buy for this season is the Soothing Skin, Lip and Cuticle Care. I absolutely love this product as does any of my clients who have tried it. This is a multi functional product which provides instant hydration to chapped lips, cuticles and dry skin. it seals in long-lasting moisture while exfoliating away dry skin. This is not only a handbag essential but a christmas stocking essential for all of you struggling to find a unique gift  this is suitable for everybody. and at £13 is also good on the purse.

Thanks for taking the time

Here we go…….

It is now on the cusp of winter and while we concentrate on getting our Christmas gifts sorted and dig out the scarves and hats lets not forget our poor skin that get a battering in the cold, icy mornings.

My pet hate is dry crispy hands and as this is a very aging sign its good to look after one of the hardest working parts of our body. If you can tolerate a little bit of a greasy cream and the smell of banana the Berts Bees ‘beeswax and Banana’ is a very thick cream but smooths like nothing else and smells gorgeous. Comes in a small glass jar perfect for keeping in your desk at work, or bedside cabinet to apply last thing at night. (£10), or if you like a cream on the go then Berts Bees Hand repair Shea Butter is purse size, and is beautiful to use and a Personal favourite of mine (£7). These lovely products are 100% natural ingredients.

I will review a new product every week through this season picking the good and bad, helping you choose well this year not just for your self but as presents as well.

But most importantly let us not forget those who don’t have or those who face this time of year with dread and sadness.

At Cyfoes Healthcare we support 2 Wish Upon a Star which is working to provide bereavement support to families at the most difficult times in their lives. So as a small gesture this year 10% of all profit taken though November will be given to them to help them continue in the great work they are doing.

you to can support them and still enjoy a wonderful amount of Christmas cheer at this year Christmas shopping event. It would be great to see you there and if you follow our blog please pop over and say hello 🙂

All details are on the poster to follow x

New team Memeber

Today we have officially appointed a new team member.

I will fully introduce her in the weeks to come,.

Who would have thought we would have been adding to our team already, the interview process was a new experience for me, and very difficult decisions to make but we were determined to undertake these properly and as usual put our heart and soul into everything we do no matter how small.

Put your Heart,Mind and Soul into your smallest acts. This is the secret of success

Swami Sivananda

I’m holding onto this quote for today 🙂

Tough Times?

Being a mothers of 3 small children you often wonder what they might think or comment on, and am often taken by surprise at their clarity and questioning.

My children are 6yrs (going on 7 we’re counting the days) 4yrs (going on 5 we’re counting the months) and 2yrs (going on 16!!)

After a conversation with my son about him,his confidence and school, encouraging him that I am so proud of him, that he is very clever and will always be my best (and only boy). He asks why his sister (4yrs) struggles with speech/understanding?

“why can’t she do what me and A*^** can do?”

I try to explain that her brain is very clever but in a different way to our so she needs our love and support.

“why did her brain get made a different way?” me….totally stumped. “I don’t know”, but being the mother I went on to tell him that we are such a special family because we have been chosen to look after her and not everybody gets such a wonderful present as her, he nods and agrees that he loves her so much that he doesn’t mind having to help and look after her.

He is pacified but I am not after thinking about this logic I realized I have lied to him… in truth life is hard, bad things happen to good people, sometimes were a given trials we cannot cope with, there is no logic to why trials, loss and hardship are thrown our way but with love and God’s strength we will get though each day.

I have a friend who has suffered the greatest loss and hardship over the past 2yrs and she and her family have the love, resolve and strength to make it through each day. She is now my bench mark and puts my life into such perspective every day.

I cannot change her situation but I can be content with mine and I strive to support her as much as I can.

She runs a charity called 2 Wish Upon a Star and as a business we are working to raise awareness for this wonderful charity.

Please visit her site http://www.2wishuponastar.org and be part of her blog.

Expanding

Met a very interesting lady yesterday who is very successful at what she does and I think is going to be an inspiring mentor to me. I will gradually introduce her as time passes but have realised its OK to say you need some help and guidance but I should also sit back and appreciate the huge achievement so far.

We have some exciting plans in the pipe line and these are coming to fruition quite quickly. Will keep you updated as these developments are confirmed.

Today we run our first set of interviews for receptionist post. This is very exciting and we have seen some wonderful people so far but as a business woman and mother I found different roles playing a part throughout the day. Do all interviewers feel the same or are you focused on your business and  the role your offering?

Challenging steps ahead.

Don’t forget our wonderful discount on treatments this month. 15%off!!!

Persistance & Hard Work

I have found peoples responses to me setting up a business very mixed. For those watching from the outside it can appear very luxurious , and I must admit before commencing on this journey I was not aware that the saying 99% blood sweat and tears was in fact ….a fact! Even though I have watch my husband develop  his business over the past 10yrs and seen him eat and sleep it I thought that was just his personality I didn’t realize how much my business would become the driving force in every hour I am awake. (and yes you do dream about it to!)

This past 12 months has seen a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, stressful hours/days/weeks and months…and for what?

Because regardless of the effort you haven’t made your first million as you’s imagined and sold to the bank manager on your business plan. So I am claiming this quote today:

‘Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant.’

Because as a farmer sows his seed he does not know how much harvest he will get, and after sowing he does not have the luxury of sitting back and waiting for that harvest he just moves on and sows the next field.

So it is with business, the harvest is a luxury you hope for, day to day is sowing sowing and more sowing, with seemingly no return. But if I sow enough seeds the harvest will come and this is what I work towards as a future for myself and my family.

Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.

Who am I?

This is a very good question, like most women I have numerous roles but discovering the business woman in me has been a hard road. Ruthless at times and caused many frustrating tears.

This is turning out to be one of the most challenging times of my life but what I found is I love every minute.
